We can't believe it's our last full day in Laos already! What a wonderful country with the friendliest, happiest and most helpful people. Today we hopped in the van with Si and drove about an hour out from Lunag Prabang to the Kuang Si waterfalls. Si promised us the waterfalls were one of the highlights of Luang Prabang and he was absolutely correct.
As you can see it was actually a series of large and small waterfalls with a series of pools that people could swim in. The falls are carved out of limestone which creates the beautiful turquoise water.
At the top of the waterfalls was a treehouse structure that provided some relaxation (after 552 steps) and lovely views of the landscape....
After a drink and a crepe, and a nice rest, we made our way back down. As usual, it was very hot, so we welcomed a swim in the cool water.

Si arranged lunch for us at this spectacular restaurant that had it's own private waterfall. We felt like the waterfall was ours as we were seated right in front of the falls (pic#3). Si calls us "King" and "Queen" all of the time and this really made us feel like that was true!
Laos Fun Facts:
